OSHA

On March 24, 2016, OSHA issued a final silica standard for the construction industry.

The new standard went into effect on June 23, 2016, and employers are required to comply with all obligations of the federal standard (except methods of sample analysis) on September 23, 2017.

To learn more about the new construction standard, view the on-demand webinar "Understanding & Implementing the New Construction Silica Standard" presented by: David O’Connor, OSHA's Directorate of Standards & Guidance, Chris Trahan, CPWR Deputy Director, and Eileen Betit, CPWR r2p Director. This webinar reviewed the key provisions in the new standard and how CPWR's free planning tool can help contractors comply.
